Hello Friends,

If you've not been to Salem lately, you may be shocked when you come.  God has been really blessing, and our church is growing.  As I write this, our church is in Vacation Bible School.  We're averaging around 60 elementary kids, and over 30 workers each day, and around 20 youths and 5 volunteers each evening.  It's so good to see children and teens excited about God's word.

God is continuing to bring in new talent to our music ministry, and  the band and singers are leading us into the Lord's presence as we worship each week.  You can feel the Spirit's moving and lives are being changed.

We have finished construction on the expansion of the audio/video area, and  have new cameras and audio equipment installed.  We've had a few glitches, but it's getting better each week.  We've put in new glass doors on the front of the sanctuary, and new hardware in our other doors to make the building more beautiful and secure.  We have a kitchen expansion and a bathroom addition that will begin soon too.

We  have some new ministry starts on the horizon.  OASIS, our Senior Adult Ministry, will meet next month to discuss monthly meetings and excursions.  And, we also have some ministries to our military community that are beginning soon.

As of this writing, we have had 32 to join our fellowship, with 8 by baptism.   Go God!

Please come and check us out if you're in the area.  I know you can meet Jesus here, and we'd be glad to introduce you.
In the love of Jesus,

Pastor Danny McLamb

Pray for our youth as they are sharing in music at
Providence Baptist Church at the 11:00 AM service.

We are planning a Community Outreach here at Salem on Saturday, October 23th.  With the Sneads Ferry Shrimp Festival taking place on that day,  we would like to serve our community with free parking  and shuttle service, to offer information about Jesus,  to offer information about Salem, and to offer some fun for the kids. We have also invited other churches in our area to be a part of this  outreach to share and introduce their church as well.

If you have a golf cart and would be willing to help shuttle,  please  contact Butch Thompson 910-389-3710.
If you can help setup, share gospel tracts, and/or monitor     on that Saturday, please contact church secretary or pastor.
