SALEM BAPTIST CHURCH

 Dear family and friends,

God is great and greatly to be praised!  So, let’s praise Him in this storm.  As you know, a lot has changed in the last 2 weeks.  Things have really been turned upside down.  Here, at Salem, we are trying to find ways to keep the congregation informed about worship and meetings that have been modified or cancelled.  I’m happy to inform you that last week, we were able to have our worship service “live streamed” on Facebook.  If you are currently on Facebook, you can find us at: Salem Baptist, Sneads Ferry, NC.  We are also working to post this to the, Salem Baptist Family, page on Facebook, and to the website, www.salembaptistsf.com

I’m excited to announce that this coming Sunday, March 29th, we will be having “Drive-in Worship” in the parking lot of Salem Baptist Church.  We will have a flatbed trailer pulled alongside the sanctuary, where the musicians and pastor will be located.  We will broadcast the music and message from there over a sound system.  We ask that you just come, and park in the designated parking spaces, roll your car windows down, and enjoy the service from the comfort of your automobile.  The building will be open for use of the restroom facilities, if needed.  We will have the ushers to go around to each car to receive your offering.  There is no need for you to have to leave your car.  We will start promptly at 11:00am, so please plan to be here a few minutes early to get your spot.  Please do not place your purses or pillows on a space to reserve your spot!

As of now, we will continue to hold Praise, Prayer, and Preaching service on Wednesday evenings at Salem Baptist Church.  We ask that those who attend practice safe “social distancing” of 4-6 ft.  Please sit together as a family unit, ie, if you live in the same house, it’s ok to sit together on the same pew.  Please scatter over the sanctuary so that we don’t contribute to the spread of this virus, and we won’t be shaking hands or hugging during this time.  Our God is able to help us overcome.  Psalm 91.

As of this letter, we are working for you to be able to give online.  Please do not use the giving connection on the website, as it is not currently set up with the bank.  Currently, you may give by using Bill Pay through your personal bank account, or by dropping by the office during the normal office hours from 9am to 3pm, Monday through Friday.

God is at work in these circumstances, and He is doing something far beyond what we can comprehend.  So, let’s continue to praise Him, and be a blessing to our friends and family, and our neighbors and co-workers.  Please check on your neighbors and friends, and pray for one another.  God willing, things will be back to normal soon.  But, until then, let’s give God praise and glorify Him daily through personal Bible study, worship and prayer.  Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into His glorious presence without a single fault.  All glory to Him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord.  All glory, majesty, power, and authority are His before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time.  Amen.  Jude 1:24-25 NLT

In the love of Jesus,

Pastor Danny McLamb
